Another big tick of approval for major transport infrastructure projects designed, funded and built by the NSW Liberals and transforming Sydney’s public transport network.
Thrilled to share the news that the Sydney Metro City Stations are finalists in the 2025 NSW Architecture Awards, Urban Design category. The six new and two altered stations are part of the new metro rail line connecting Chatswood to the CBD and Sydenham – a project that was not supported by Labor in 2015 (after it also cancelled a comparable project in 2010).
In addition, Sydney Metro Stations, extensions and precincts are finalists in a number of award categories :
Public Architecture:
Barangaroo Station | Foster + Partners, Architectus and Atelier Luke
Central Station, Sydney | Woods Bagot with John McAslan + Partners
Martin Place Metro Station | Grimshaw
Waterloo Station | John McAslan + Partners
Sustainability Category:

Shame on you in your choice to support the horrid Greens abortion up to birth bill . 😡
If I understand this correctly, you actually wanted to force hospitals and doctors who have a moral objection to abortion to refer their patients to another practitioner who has no such morals and would provide the service? You were actually going to pass such a bill? A bill put forward by the Greens???????? Enjoy life on the Opposition benches because that is where you are staying for a very long time. 🤡🤡🤡
How dare you vote for pro abortion legislation.
You are evil. You are a child killer by supporting the abortion bill. You will not be leader of the Liberal party at the next election. Your colleagues have already started to plan
Hi Mark, such a shame it’s rewarding people in a seat loyal to the Labor party cause as well as in areas like Parramatta, nothing similar has been built or delivered in the safe liberal seat such as Cronulla or nearby. The Miranda metro line should have been fast tracked under a coalition state government and benefited our electorate. This is now well and truly on the back burner under a labor state government.
